This page demonstrates some of the capabilities of locations.module.
 
Example 1:
This example demonstrates a simple calculation of the distance between two Australian Post-codes:
Base location postcode: (Brighton East) Comparison postcode: (Darwin)
km.
Example 2:
This example demonstrates a simple calculation of the distance between two Australian locations, one referenced by Postcode, the other by Locality name:
Base location postcode: (Brighton East) Comparison locality:
km.
Example 3:
This example demonstrates determination of closeness of a series of postcodes to a reference postcode, often used in determining which of a set of branches is closest to the visitor's home postcode:
Base location postcode: (Brighton East) Comparison postcodes:
in order of distance.
Example 4:
This example calculates the distances between Australia's capitals. This involves 35 location lookups and 27 calculations of distance:

Example 5:
This example allows you to supply your own postcodes or locality names for distance calculation. If you provide a locality name for either the value, you must also select the state for that locality.

Example 6:
This example demonstrates determination of all postcodes within a certain distance from a reference postcode:
Base location postcode: (Brighton East) Proximity limit: km.
Example 7:
This example demonstrates how a check can be made whether a particular postcode is serviced by your company. (test data - 3187 is serviced, 3186 is not)
Example 8:
This example demonstrates how a check can be made whether a particular postcode and locality combination is serviced by your company. (test data - 3216/HIGHTON is serviced, 3216/GROVEDALE is not)
